VIVA-BMDP Asia Blood and Marrow Transplant Spring School 2026
Friday, 6 March 2026
VIVA Hub, Novena Specialist Centre #03-01
10:00 - 16:00 (SGT)
Since 2017, the VABMT Consortium has organized a series of 'VABMT Schools' with the mission of bringing together international and regional experts to educate physicians on the latest advances and best practice in paediatric HSCT. We believe that the promises of HSCT and cellular therapy can bring about solutions even to the most challenging situations for children fighting cancers and hereditary diseases. We aim to empower emerging programs to set up and expand their HSCT service with support from centres of excellence, and at the same time, to drive innovations and nurture the next generation of leaders in paediatric HSCT.
The VABMT School consists of educational talks by invited faculty and interactive case discussions by trainees. This ensures what is taught and discussed at the school is relevant to the trainees’ learning needs and can be applied to their clinical setting when they return to their work environment. Apart from knowledge and skills essential to everyday patient care, experience sharing from more mature member centres is encouraged to help create a ‘roadmap’ for emerging programs to develop the optimum infrastructure required for an accredited HSCT service, as well as a set of resource- appropriate best practice and patient care pathways.
